LuxeDay Baths · Montgomery County
Bathroom remodeling in Montgomery County, PA.
The widest range of housing we work in, from Main Line twins to post-2000 developments. The right answer differs enormously between them.
What we find in Montgomery County bathrooms
Main Line houses with awkward layouts
Ardmore, Bryn Mawr and Wynnewood have beautiful houses with bathrooms that were fitted into whatever space was left. Sloped ceilings under a roof line, a window in the shower wall, a door that swings into the vanity. These rarely suit a drop-in system, and pretending otherwise leads to a bad result. They want a proper renovation with the layout thought through.
Development bathrooms, 1995 to 2010
Collegeville, Skippack, Lansdale and the Blue Bell developments have builder-grade bathrooms of a standard size, usually a five-foot alcove with a fibreglass surround. Those are the ideal one-day conversion: plumbing stays, the surround comes out, base and panels go in, done in a day or two.
Powder rooms and second baths
A lot of the work here is a second bathroom rather than the main one, which changes the calculation. You are not without a bathroom while it happens, so a longer renovation is far less disruptive and often the better choice.
Ceramic tile over mortar bed
Older Montgomery County bathrooms often have tile set in a full mortar bed rather than on board. It is a much better job than what replaced it, and it is heavy and slow to remove. That shows up as demolition time on the quote rather than as a surprise.
One day or three weeks — which one you need
A one-day install works when the shower goes where the tub was and the plumbing stays put. The base, wall panels and glass fit a standard alcove, and you have a working bathroom the next day.
It does not work when the layout changes, the drain moves, a wall comes out, or what is behind the wall turns out to need replacing. That is a conventional renovation and it takes two to four weeks.
We tell you which on the visit. Selling the fast one and discovering the slow one on day three helps nobody. More on how the install works ›

Frequently asked questions
One-day install or full renovation?
It comes down to whether the plumbing moves. If the shower stays where the tub was, one to two days. If you are relocating the drain, moving a wall or changing the layout, it is a conventional renovation of two to four weeks. We say which on the visit rather than selling you the fast one and discovering otherwise.
Can you work around a sloped ceiling?
Yes, but not with a panel system designed for a square alcove. That is a built job, and it costs more because it takes longer. Better to hear that up front than halfway through.
Which towns do you cover?
King of Prussia, Blue Bell, Lansdale, Ardmore, Collegeville, Norristown, Plymouth Meeting and the rest of the county.
Do you handle the permit?
Yes, where one is needed. Montgomery County townships vary on what they require, and we deal with the office rather than leaving it with you. It is priced as its own line.
Can you match what is already there?
Usually. Tile and fixtures are chosen rather than fixed, so matching an existing scheme is a question of selection rather than possibility.
