General contracting at CAWR means we are accountable for the whole job — demolition through final paint — rather than coordinating three companies who each blame the other for the gap in the schedule.

Because we self-perform carpentry, drywall, flooring, tile, and finish work and directly supervise the licensed trades, we can price complicated scopes accurately and sequence them tightly. That matters most on the projects other GCs quietly decline: additions tying into an older structure, renovations where nothing is square, and interiors where a tenant or family is moving in on a fixed date.

What we don't do: ground-up new construction. We work on buildings that already exist. Everything below assumes there's a structure to renovate, expand, or repair.

Typical projects

• Additions and bump-outs — foundation through roof tie-in, including the structural framing and envelope work
• Whole-home renovations — gut renovations, layout changes, and load-bearing wall removals
• Kitchens — cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, and the electrical and plumbing rough-in behind them
• Interior renovation — flooring, drywall, trim and millwork, doors, windows, and painting
• Basement finishing — framing, egress, moisture management, and finished living space
• Structural repair — sistering joists, beam replacement, and sill and rim repair after water or termite damage
