LuxeDay Coatings · Bucks County

Garage floor coating in Bucks County, PA.

More outbuildings and workshop space here than anywhere else we work, and those slabs behave differently from an attached garage.

What we find on Bucks County slabs

Barns, workshops and detached outbuildings

Upper Bucks in particular has a lot of converted agricultural buildings and standalone workshops. Those slabs are often larger, poured in sections, and unheated. Polyaspartic is the right product for an unheated building because it cures in cold weather where epoxy stalls, but the cure times stretch and we say so rather than quoting a summer schedule in February.

Newer construction around Doylestown and Warrington

The developments through the centre of the county are standard modern construction — sound slabs, vapour barriers, low moisture readings. These are one-day jobs with no surprises.

Older stone and farmhouse properties

Around New Hope and the river the housing is older, and garage slabs were often poured on grade decades ago. Moisture testing is not optional on those, and we would rather tell you at the quote that a slab needs a different primer than discover it with the grinder running.

What the price covers

Interior work is $8 a square foot on a slab in sound condition. That is the diamond grind and surface preparation, crack and joint repair for normal wear, moisture testing, the pigmented base coat, the flake broadcast and a UV-stable clear topcoat. Exterior work runs $10 to $12 depending on the grip required and the access.

What it does not cover is heavy spalling, removal of a failed previous coating, or moisture mitigation where a slab reads over threshold. Those are quoted separately once we have seen the floor, and you can walk away at that point at no cost.

Frequently asked questions

Can you coat a workshop or barn floor?

Yes, and it is a good use for this system. Larger spans are priced the same way per square foot. Unheated buildings are fine — polyaspartic cures in the cold, though the times extend and we tell you what to expect on the day rather than quoting summer figures.

How far into upper Bucks do you go?

Doylestown, Newtown, Yardley, Warrington, Perkasie, Quakertown and New Hope. It is at the edge of our normal radius, so on a small job we may group it with another in the area rather than charge travel.

Will it hold up to a tractor or a lift?

Point loading from a jack or a lift post is the thing to mention when we quote, because it changes the build. Vehicle traffic itself is not a problem — this system is used on commercial floors.

What does a large workshop cost?

The same $8 a square foot for interior work on a sound slab. A 1,000 square foot workshop is $8,000. Larger areas sometimes come in lower because mobilisation is spread further.

Can you do it in the winter?

Yes. Cold slows the cure but does not stop it. What stops us is coating within five degrees of the dew point, which puts a haze in the finish.
